Nonprofit Program Overview

A matched savings program for eligible first time homebuyers. It is a program designed to help you develop a pattern of savings to help you accomplish your goal of home ownership. Once accepted to the program, participants make savings deposits into a special account every month, work on their customized home buying plan with a PHC Homebuying Specialist, and receive a 3:1 match up to $6,000 on their savings at the time of their home purchase. This program is part of the State of Oregon IDA program.

Admission requirements:

Eligibility is restricted to those earning 80% or less of the Portland Area Median Family Income who have successfully completed a PHC screening process. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have own valid Social Security. Must complete credit and home buying counseling. Must demonstrate ability to save. We are curently accepting applications from qualified individuals for the waiting list.

Fee schedule:

Call for more information on this program. Funding is provided yearly. When funds are depleted, waiting list is maintained.
