Nonprofit Program Overview
The Native American Youth and family Center (NAYA) is a 501c3 non profit whose mission is "to enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and familes in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education." The program is designed to make homeownership a reality. The program offers a $3 match to every $1 a participant saves while part of the program. Program participants can save up to $3,000 and receive up to a $9,000 match for a total of $12,000. Funds are then used towards down payment and closing costs. Applicants will meet with the IDA Intake Specialist to determine a savings plan.

NAYA has no tribal membership requirements. Clients eligible for the IDA program must be below 80% area median income adjusted by family size and have a net worth of less than $20,000 at time of application. Clients also must have the ability and desire to save and meet regularly with the IDA Intake Specialist and other program staff. The NAYA IDA is part of the Oregon IDA initiative.
